The Extremadura cake cheese cream is made from cheeses from the Extremadura region with Denomination of Origin, carefully chosen to obtain a cream that respects the flavor and original texture of the Extremadura cake. It is a gourmet cream cheese with a very characteristic flavor since it is salty but with a slightly bitter touch, very characteristic of the typical cake of this region and very melting on the palate.
It is recommended to prepare on toast, with Regañás with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, even sprinkling a little sweet paprika as a final touch on top, an exquisite combination. It is also used to make sauces that accompany vegetables or meats.
Wine pairing: White wines aged in oak such as the wines of Navarra, Penedés, La Mancha, and Riojas. Crianza and reserve red wines from Ribera del Duero, Bierzo, Rioja, Navarra, La Mancha, Cariñena, and Priorato. Oxidative aging wines from Andalusia such as Jerez and Montilla-Moriles and Manzanillas past.
