These whole roasted piquillo peppers are delicious! Naturally sweet and bright red in colour, they are first roasted over wood fires before being peeled and then packed in the tin in their own juices. The classic Spanish dish using these type of peppers is to stuff them with a bechamel sauce flavoured with seafood, vegetables or meats, but they can also be used sliced as a salad with tuna and some finely sliced mild red onions, or in casserole dishes. You get about 18/20 peppers in a tin.
